🫖 Drink Tea to Lose Weight! 👀
Posted by Dani Noto on
Did you know the average weight gain during the holidays is 10 pounds?
With all the parties, friends, and family get-togethers and the extra goodies we don’t usually indulge in, it’s easy to accidentally pack on some pounds. And those nasty pounds just seem to suddenly sneak in and appear.
I don’t know about you, but I’m not into crazy fad diets or suddenly restricting the foods I like to make those extra pounds go away.
Did you know that drinking tea can help you lose those pounds?
The big question I always get asked is which teas work best.
And the answer is…all of them.
Green tea is rich in antioxidants known as catechins. Research suggests that these catechins can support a healthy metabolism and increase your body’s ability to burn fat, potentially reducing the extra body fat, particularly in the abdominal area.
One of my favorite green teas is Green Cinnamon Twist.
I also enjoy Organic Jasmine Bouquet Green, Pomegranate & Blueberry Green, and Berryliscious Green.
Black tea, though not quite as known for weight loss as green tea, also offers significant benefits. Data has shown that black tea polyphenols (they help our immune system) are more effective than their green tea counterparts in exerting positive effects on weight. Who knew, right?
The fermentation process may enhance your metabolism and help you shed visceral fat; you know, that nasty fat around our stomachs and waistlines.
A few black tea favorites would be Heavenly Hazelnut with its mini chocolate chips, Crème Brûlée, and Pumpkin & Spice Chai.
Oolong tea is also another excellent choice for weight management.
It has a unique fermentation process, believed to enhance fat metabolism, increasing the body’s ability to burn fat more efficiently. And who doesn’t want that?
I really enjoy Milk Oolong, Organic Iron Goddess of Mercy, and Raspberry Oolong.
Rooibos tea from South Africa is a caffeine-free alternative that can help support weight loss efforts. It contains unique antioxidants, which may help to regulate blood sugar levels and reduce fat storage. These teas are naturally sweet and can be enjoyed during the day or evening without worrying about a caffeine buzz.
Blueberry Cinnamon Cobbler Rooibos is a favorite, as are Orange Creamsicle and Sweet Sin.
So, if you want to shed a few pounds, I encourage you to try these favorites. Your taste buds and waistline will thank you.
