Kid-Friendly Teas

How many times have we heard, "Mom, I'm thirsty?"

Or, "Mom, is there anything good to drink?"

I know when my kids were home, it felt like a constant refrain, especially in the summer. I'm pretty sure I even heard it in my sleep, ☺️. Now I only hear my husband asking, "Honey, what do we have cold to drink?"

What should we serve these thirsty little kids? Sugary sodas and caffeinated beverages are not ideal if we want them to stay calm or go to bed at a reasonable hour.

Kid-Tested and Mom-Approved

Delicious and naturally sweet, caffeine-free fruit teas are the perfect solution for thirsty kids.

They taste great and can quench even the most intense thirst without any caffeine or added sugar.

Here are six teas that have been kid-tested, received rave reviews, and are mom-approved.

Grandma's Garden Fruit Tea

Strawberry Cream Fruit Tea

Mango and Friends Herbal Tea

Sunny Lemonade Fruit Tea

Orange Creamsicle Rooibos Tea

Honeybush Peach tea

These fruit teas are best brewed hot and strong.

Allow them to cool, then pour generous glassfuls over ice to quench the thirst of those little ones. Adults also rave about these teas, including my husband!

Homemade Icepops

Use Tea to Make Delicious Popsicles

You can also use these teas to make delicious popsicles, and it's really simple to do.

Just brew the tea, add a sweetener if you like, then pour the tea into popsicle molds and freeze.

Once they are frozen, you'll have a delightful sweet treat.

These popsicles make for a great afternoon snack or an after-dinner dessert, and if you skip the sweetener, they're even guilt-free for those of us watching our waistlines.
