Cancer Hates Tea!!!

Did this statement surprise you and grab your attention? Have you heard this before but aren't sure if it's true?

Yes, I can assure you that it's absolutely true: Cancer Hates Tea!

Tea leaves are your personal army against cancer. Tea leaves are one of the most powerful natural sources of antioxidants that give your body something to help fight against cancer.

Book: Cancer Hates Tea

Years ago, I discovered a book called "Cancer Hates Tea" by Maria Uspenski. Maria wrote the book after experiencing cancer herself. She shares how tea became an essential part of her healing journey. In her book, she clearly explains tea and its benefits, and why she drinks multiple cups daily—five or more.

Maria discusses the benefits of antioxidants, whether in fighting something or just trying to stay healthy. She also talks about polyphenols —another big confusing word. It is plentiful in tea and helps boost our immune system and hunt down nasty free radicals.

Wondering why tea produces a calm, yet focused state of mind? It's thanks to L-Theanine, a feel-good active ingredient in tea.

Maria, along with many tea experts, and I firmly believe that loose-leaf tea is the only way to go!

Why?

Because typical store-bought tea bags often contain only dust and fannings, which are low-quality tea remnants. Who really wants to drink that when you can have the good stuff?

If you prefer using tea bags, opt for triangular premium sachets. However, for the best value and flavor, loose-leaf tea is the way to go. Plus, with loose-leaf tea, you can control the amount of tea you use. It puts you in the driver's seat for taste and health.

The book "Cancer Hates Tea" contains a wealth of valuable information in an easy-to-read format and offers many suggestions for making a great cup of tea.

I receive a lot of questions about matcha, and this book includes several recipes, similar to the one pictured. Here is the recipe from the book:

Matcha

Recipe: Matcha Green Tea Latte

Each rounded teaspoon of matcha gives you the antioxidant power of 5 pounds of wild blueberries or 50 servings of spinach.

  • 3/4 cup milk or milk substitute
  • 1/2 teaspoon matcha green tea powder
  • 1/4 cup hot water (150°F)
  • Honey or Agave to taste

(I added a small sprinkle of cinnamon.)

Matcha Recipe

Heat the milk or milk substitute.

Briskly mix the matcha into the hot water.

Slowly add the milk or milk substitute and sweetener to taste.

Blend well until super smooth.

For an iced latte (as shown in my picture), simply pour it over a tall glass filled with ice. Enjoy.

Yield: one 10-ounce hot cup or 16-ounce iced tea latte.

Green Tea Matcha Iced Latte

I enjoy this recipe all year, along with many others. It's fun to taste them as they are originally made and then add my own twist on them by adding ingredients I love, such as cacao, cinnamon, lavender, vanilla, and honey. You're only limited by your imagination, so let your taste buds run wild!

Here's for life's little moments

Tea alone will not cure or prevent cancer, but I'm all for giving my body every good thing I can to live a longer, healthier life. I want you to join me. Tea helps keep your first line of defense, your immune system, buzzing.

So drink up and stay healthy,

~Dani
