😴 🛏️ Sip Your Way to Sleep: The Best Tea for a Good Night’s Rest 🥱 🫖
Posted by Dani Noto on

Are you having trouble sleeping or relaxing?
If you’re looking for a natural way to sleep better and get some extra health benefits, chamomile tea could be a good choice.

People have been drinking chamomile tea since ancient Greek times, when it was valued for its natural healing properties. Chamomile contains apigenin, a compound that can help you feel calm and sleepy.
“Chamomile basically acts as a mild tranquilizer,” dietitian Beth Czerwony told the Cleveland Clinic. “Those sips really will help you sleep.”
For centuries, doctors have used chamomile for many health benefits, not just for better sleep.

Drinking chamomile tea may help you relax and lower your blood pressure, potentially reducing the risk of cardiovascular events.
Chamomile is a daisy-like plant that is rich in vitamins and minerals, including potassium and calcium.
Potassium is an electrolyte that helps maintain your nervous system, protects bone health, prevents kidney stones, and regulates heartbeat. Like potassium, calcium also keeps bones strong and teeth healthy, and your heart, muscles, and nerves rely on calcium to function properly.

Chamomile has anti-inflammatory effects, according to studies from the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Harvard Medical School also notes that people who drink chamomile tea may have a lower risk of dying from heart disease and might get some protection against certain cancers.
Lastly, researchers at the University of Leeds have found that some compounds in chamomile may help manage or even prevent diabetes.

I have several chamomile teas to choose from. You can enjoy Chamomile Herbal Tea hot or iced. There’s also Lavender Vanilla Chamomile Herbal Tisane, which combines calming lavender with chamomile. And Sweet Dreams is a blend of apple, cinnamon, and chamomile that both adults and kids love.
A note of caution: The American Academy of Family Physicians advises that pregnant individuals should avoid chamomile, as it may trigger early labor. The same applies to people with a history of severe allergies, because chamomile may be cross-contaminated with pollen from other plants.

Try my chamomile teas to relax, sleep better, and support your health!
To a good night's sleep,
~Dani
