Uptown Tea Shop - Premium Loose Leaf Teas and Accessories

I'm excited to announce that I have 6 new teas joining Uptown Tea Shop. I'll be talking about each of them individually and sharing what makes them stand out from the pack in future newsletters. The teas are a collection of caffeinated, decaffeinated, and naturally caffeine-free teas; I'm sure there's something new for everyone.

I get many requests for more herbal and non-caffeinated teas, so my tasting team and I have been doing lots of sample tasting to pick the healthiest and best flavors to offer. I know it's a tough job, but someone has to do it, and we're happy to do the hard work...well, not so hard as we get to laugh, enjoy each other's company and taste some amazing teas.

Today I'm happy to introduce you to our new Honeybush Peach Tea. This tea is from a shrub native only to South Africa. This tea is a gentle, naturally sweet, caffeine-free tea perfect for drinking at any time of the day or evening. If you lived in South Africa, you would find this tea simmering on many stoves all day for easy access to a cup of tea anytime. This is possible because honeybush doesn't become bitter when boiled or steeped too long, unlike its counterpart from the Camellia Sinensis plant. A huge bonus is that the honey-like peach aroma makes your kitchen smell great.

Honeybush is low in tannins but high in antioxidants. Early research suggests that the flavanones in honeybush have the potential to boost your immune system. Honeybush may also be beneficial as an anti-inflammatory and for heart health. Honeybush has also been used for years to treat coughs, aid digestion, calm colicky babies and help the symptoms of menopause.

So as amazing as honeybush is on its own, we've taken it to another level in our peach tea by adding delicious peach flavor. Our Honeybush Peach Tea also contains green rooibos for additional antioxidants, peach and tangerine to boost Vitamin C, and flower petals for a calming effect.

This wonderfully tasting peach tea is great hot but also fabulous as an iced tea, making it convenient and easy to drink all year long.

I hope you enjoy this tea as much as we do.
