Wow! Mother's Day is May 9th, and it'll be here before we know it!
There's something special in celebrating all our moms and grandmas for all the love, support, inspiration, dedication, and care they've poured into us. We all know there's not enough money in the world to compensate them for the job they do. Some days it's just plain hard work being a mom!
I always enjoyed showering my Mom and Grandma with things they loved. Beautiful flowers from our favorite local nursery, chocolate - dark for Mom and white for Grandma, books for Mom as she was an avid reader, yarn for Grandma, and of course exquisite teas for both.
They had very different tastes when it came to tea.
Apple Cinnamon Herbal has a beautiful combination of apples and cinnamon that you just can't go wrong with. She occasionally would drink this as an iced tea too.
Decaf Lemon Supreme Green has the tart flavor of lemon softened by cream. Always great in the evening.
Decaf Earl Grey de la Creme is just delightful any time of the day or evening with its pleasant bergamot flavoring and creme.
Grandma was more traditional. She enjoyed milk and sugar in her teas. So she opted for teas that could hold up to that but still keep their flavor. Breakfast Blend Ceylon, Imperial Breakfast, and Organic Darjeeling First Flush were some of her favorites.
Breakfast Blend Ceylon is a combination of Assam, Keemun, and Darjeeling. It is robust but still smooth.
Imperial Breakfast is a mix of Darjeeling and Keemun. This very smooth cup of tea is also one of my personal favorites.
And then there's Organic Darjeeling First Flush, the Queen of Teas. This tea is light, elegant, and absolutely delicious.
I hope you'll take the time to love and celebrate your Moms and Grandmas this Mother's Day. Gifts are lovely but spending time with them is priceless!
I've put together a lovely Mother's Day Tea Collection. Any of these teas make wonderful gifts.
