Cold Weather Teas

It's the time of year when many people feel under the weather with colds, flu, upper respiratory, and sore throats. If that's you, I have two teas that may help.

Cold Season and Well Throat are staples in my house.

I'll start drinking these teas at the first sign of a cold or sore throat. Cold Season and Well Throat are called Ayurvedic teas, meaning they are based on the age-old traditional medicine of India.

These two herbal teas use extracts of plants and fruits combined with soothing Indian spices such as cardamom, ginger, pepper, or cinnamon.

Enriched with vitamins and antioxidants, Ayurvedic tea tastes good and can help you fight against some of our winter ailments. Cold Season is also great for helping with allergies too.

Cold Season Herbal Tea

Cold Season contains ginger pieces, cardamom, lemongrass, black pepper, basil, caraway seed, licorice, orange peel, parsley, peppermint, valerian root, cloves, yarrow flower, cinnamon, oregano and natural flavor and is naturally caffeine free.

This powerhouse goes to work to help dry up and relieve the sinus pressure and congestion associated with colds and allergies.

Well Throat Herbal Tea

Well Throat contains ginger, licorice, fennel, orange peel, marshmallow root, thyme, turmeric whole, mullein flowers, cardamon, black peppercorns, and natural flavors and is naturally caffeine-free. It soothes sore and scratchy throats. Add a bit of local honey, and you've got another powerhouse drink that your throat will thank you for.

I hope you will add these two teas to your tea stash to have them on hand when needed.
