😋 💛 Ooh-la-la Oolong! 🧘 🩷

Oolong Tea

Imagine a tea that's the perfect blend of black and green—that's oolong.

This fascinating tea sits right in the middle, offering a wide range of flavors, colors, and aromas.

From lightly oxidized oolongs that are grassy and floral like a green tea to more robust, full-bodied varieties that taste like a rich black tea, there's an oolong for every palate.

Organic Iron Goddess of Mercy Oolong Tea

This smooth, aromatic, slightly mysterious tea has been winning hearts (and taste buds) for centuries.

Oolong is also known as the "Black Dragon" tea due to the shape of its leaves, which can be hand-rolled into small, cute balls or left long, curly, and elegant.

A fun fact many people don't know is that oolong leaves can unfurl or open and double, triple, or even quadruple in size when they're brewed.

This is why it's so important to give them plenty of room to "swim" in your teapot. My basket strainers are perfect for this.

Called the Philosopher's Drink in some parts of the world, oolong tea offers a host of wellness benefits you'll love.

Focus and Calm Energy

With a moderate amount of caffeine, oolong gives you a smooth lift without the jitters. It's like having energy with a built-in "zen mode."

I especially love this tea when I need to really zone in and focus on a task.

My favorites are Organic Iron Goddess of Mercy, Milk Oolong, Jade Oolong, and Organic Ruby Oolong.

Your Metabolism's Best Friend

Studies suggest that oolong can gently boost your metabolism, helping your body turn food into fuel more efficiently.

It's even earned the nickname "weight-support tea."

If you enjoy iced teas, Organic Coconut Breeze Tropical Oolong and Raspberry Oolong are fantastic and especially refreshing over ice.

Smile Support

Naturally high in antioxidants and minerals, oolong may promote dental health and keep your pearly whites…well, pearly!

A Soothing Hug for Your Insides

Regular oolong drinkers often see support for healthy cholesterol levels and digestion. Think of it as a soothing hug for your insides.

A nice cup to enjoy with meals would be Shangri-La Iced Oolong served either hot or cold.

Skin Glow

Oolong's antioxidants (especially polyphenols) can help fight free radicals, giving your skin that tea-time glow.

Brew Gently

To truly experience oolong tea, remember to brew it gently. Use hot—but not boiling—water to bring out the subtle flavors. The best part? Oolong is perfect for multiple infusions.

My limited edition Rou Gui Oolong Tea, part of my connoisseurs teas, is a must-try. You can steep it three, four, or even more times, with each steeping offering a unique flavor profile. It's a delicious way to get the most out of your tea!

Raspberry Oolong Tea

Whether you drink oolong tea for its wellness benefits, the complex flavors, or the peaceful ritual, it has something to offer every tea lover.

Next time you want a cup that's both grounding and uplifting, let oolong take center stage.
