Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!

October is always a fun month with the lead-up to Halloween. For some people, Halloween is their favorite holiday of the year. They enjoy displaying all the spooky decorations in both their houses and yards. At the top of my Halloween fun list is pumpkin carving. I think many adults enjoy pumpkin carving as much as the kids do; I know I do. In my family, there’s also some friendly competition to see who has carved the best design into their pumpkin. I will admit to enjoying the squishy feeling of cleaning out the inside of the pumpkin, and yes,...

Green, White, and Red for Breast Cancer Health

October is breast cancer awareness month, and I want to give a huge shout-out to all the warriors and their families who have had to fight against breast cancer. I don't think I know any family that hasn't been touched in one way or another by someone who has fought against this terrible disease. Do You Know What Lavandula Angustifolia Is?

From my headline, did you guess I am going to talk about lavender? How many of you have tried lavender tea? I’ve grown lavender in my home garden for years but didn’t start drinking it as tea until a few years ago. I came across an article about peppermint tea's benefits, so I thought, what the heck, let's go for it. Here is a little info about Peppermint tea. It's actually an herbal tea (also called an infusion or tisane). It is made by steeping actual...

Would You Brave the Tiger for Your Tea?

In my never-ending search for fabulous teas, I come across some interesting tidbits and stories about teas and their journey to us. I was on a mission a few months back to add a couple of new Oolong teas to my selections. My favorite, Rou Gui, was all gone. It was such a sad and bittersweet day when I drank the last cup. I savored it, but alas, the cup was finally empty. So, onto a mission to find another great Oolong. I sampled lots and lots of Oolongs before I stumbled onto Shangrila Iced Oolong. One sip told me...
