Luck of the Leaf: Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with Green Tea!

St. Patrick’s Day is here… and while many people are reaching for green beer (and I have in the far distant past), I think there’s a much more delicious way to celebrate something green.

That’s right—green tea is the real pot of gold.

Organic Green Tea

Why Green Tea Deserves a Toast

Green tea has been treasured for centuries for both its flavor and its feel-good benefits.

Unlike some heavily processed teas, green tea leaves are gently heated soon after harvest, helping them keep their natural color, freshness, and powerful antioxidants.

In other words… it’s basically the overachiever of the tea world.

Here are a few reasons people feel lucky when green tea is in their cup:

  • Packed with antioxidants: Great for supporting overall wellness.
  • Gentle, steady energy: A calmer lift than coffee without the jitters.
  • Bright, fresh flavor: From grassy and sweet to smooth and nutty.
  • A moment of calm: Perfect for slowing down and savoring a sip.

Irish Cream Green Tea

Just like Ireland has more than one great pub, the world of green tea has plenty of variety.

Each one offers its own "lucky charm" of flavor:

  • Irish Cream Green: Perfect for a touch of Ireland any time of the year! Give your green tea an Irish brogue with this delightfully smooth blend of Irish cream flavor and vanilla. Close your eyes, take a sip, and be transported to Ireland.
  • Organic Green Tea: Perfect for a rich green tea experience. This tea is great hot or served over ice.
  • Lemon Creme Green: Starts on a Sencha base and has a luscious lemon vanilla flavor with apple and ginger bits, plus orange and lemon peels.
  • Organic Moroccan Mint: A traditional Moroccan blend of organic spearmint and organic gunpowder green tea. Very refreshing in warm weather over ice—think Mint Julep.
  • Green Enchantress: Perfect for a sweet treat! A combination of two types of cherry (acerola and sour) plus pineapple will have you refilling your cup time after time. I also like this tea over ice.

Brew Your Green Tea Like a Pro

To get the best cup (and avoid bitterness), treat green tea gently:

  • Water temperature: 175°F
  • Steep time: 2–3 minutes (I always set a timer so I don’t over-steep!)

Green tea is your St. Patrick’s Day Pot of Gold, so skip the artificial green drinks and enjoy something naturally vibrant instead.

Come explore our selection and find your new favorite—who knows, you might just discover the lucky tea you’ve been searching for.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
