Organic Immunity Boosting Tea

Tis the season for colds, flu, and other yucky things. There are lots of nasty bugs going around right now, and this is the time of year I start upping my game to try and help prevent catching something. On a daily basis, I drink a lot of tea with a lot of antioxidants, which in turn help boost my immune system. I rotate through the Power House Teas of green, white, rooibos, honey bush, and a few herbals, which are proven to have higher concentrations of antioxidants. The flavors depend on my mood and what my taste buds say...

Only 6 Saturdays Till Christmas!

Only 6 Saturdays till Christmas or 41 days, but who’s counting? I was reminded this week how close Christmas and the holidays really are by one of my customers who was just finishing her Christmas shopping. They enjoy displaying all the spooky decorations in both their houses and yards. At the top of my Halloween fun list is pumpkin carving. I think many adults enjoy pumpkin carving as much as the kids do; I know I do. In my family, there’s also some friendly competition to see who has carved the best design into their pumpkin. I will admit to enjoying the squishy feeling of cleaning out the inside of the pumpkin, and yes,...

Green, White, and Red for Breast Cancer Health

October is breast cancer awareness month, and I want to give a huge shout-out to all the warriors and their families who have had to fight against breast cancer. I don't think I know any family that hasn't been touched in one way or another by someone who has fought against this terrible disease. Grandmother, mother, daughter, aunt, friend, acquaintance, customer, we all know someone who has had breast cancer. Thankfully many have fought and survived, but our hearts go out to those families whose loved ones fought valiantly but still lost their battle. This battle becomes very personal very...
